Hot Sour Egg Drop Soup

Combination of two soups.

• 1 pkg sliced shitake mushrooms
• 1 green onion sliced on diagonal (save 1/2 tsp for garnish)
• 2 cans chicken broth
• 1/2 to 2 Tbs. Asian hot sauce
• 3 Tbs. soy sauce
• 3 to 6 Tbs. Apple Cider vinegar (depending on how sour you like your soup)
• Pinch black pepper
• 1 well beaten egg mixed with 1 tsp. water
• 1 Tbs. cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbs. water

Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler: It may seem a bit un-American, but I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin pie. I don't dislike it, per se, but if there are any other dessert options, I'll choose them over the pumpkin pie. So I decided to add another dessert option to the Thanksgiving feast, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. A friend shared her very Southern mother's recipe for peach cobbler.

• ½ cup sugar
• 1 stick butter
